HUOA Okinawan Festival
The 2006 Okinawan Festival will be held on September 2 & 3, 2006, at Kapiolani Park.
WUB-Hawaii will have a booth to disseminate information and meet others ... we hope to see you there!
Festival Scripts (Tickets)
Rae Nakasone is distributing Okinawan Festival Scripts for sale, please contact her if you would like to buy some. She is also collecting proceeds from your script sales.
As of 8/23/06, Rae has $100 worth of tickets left. If anyone needs tickets, please email her at rae@wubhawaii.com .
If you have not yet paid, please mail check to Rae at the her contact info here; please write check to WUB Hawaii.

Gomi Gumi
Since 1994, WUB Hawaii has also volunteered to clean the grounds to keep it looking as nice as possible. Mike Leineweber is leading this "Gomi Gumi" effort. Mahalo to all those who have and will help out!
To volunteer in the Gomi Gumi clean-up effort, buy/sell scripts, or to man the booth, please contact us.
Also, HUOA is in need of volunteers for help setting up the festival. They are especially looking for people with skills such as: carpenters, plumbers, loaders, unloaders, parking attendants, rice cooks, and people to check-in performers. Some of the volunteer work is needed from August 29. Please contact us if you can help.
