INTRODUCTION:
The Worldwide Uchinanchu Business (WUB) Hawaii will be exposing awamori at their annual “Taste of Okinawa” on Friday, June 23, 2023, in Honolulu, Hawaii. The purpose of this event is to bring the Uchinanchu generations together through Okinawan cuisine and beverages. WUB Hawaii humbly request each awamori distiller to provide up to one case of awamori from your distillery to be a part of this event. After this Taste of Okinawa event, other events for the next three years [see below] targeting the greater Hawaii and International communities will take place which WUB Hawaii will participate in. At these events, WUB will again educate participants about awamori to gain further recognition of Okinawa’s distilled spirit. WUB Hawaii believes that awamori deserves to be equal or higher in quality than the present spirits of the world. Through WUB’s international network, we plan to accomplish this.

WUB’s VISION
Promote Awamori for the next three years starting with the “Taste of Awamori” in Hawaii and continue each year thereafter with other events targeting the greater international communities.

WUB’s MISSION
1) Educate Uchinanchu’s worldwide to be proud of awamori, the “Spirit of Okinawa” through the tangible means of sharing Okinawa’s distilled spirit to the public.
2) Connect with people of diverse cultures internationally sharing awamori for goodwill in our immediate communities.
3) Once connected, build solid bridges of rapport creating a pipeline for other products from Okinawa to enter the world market.

WUB’s GOAL
1) Pair Awamori with Okinawan cuisine sharing it with influential chefs, mixologist, and persuasive media outlets.
2) Educate all generations, young and elderly about awamori’s rich history, culture, and heritage.
3) Recognize awamori as a significant category in the international adult beverage industry.
