The Worldwide Uchinanchu Business Association-International grew out of a conference held in Honolulu, Hawaii on September 1-3, 1997, with delegates attendingfrom Okinawa, USA, Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Philippines and Japan.
The association's multi-lingual (English, Japanese, Portugese and Spanish) format makes it possible for Uchinanchu businesspeople to contact each other easily. It is hoped that this will lead to the exchange of goods andservices among members.
The Worldwide Uchinanchu Business Association - International
is administered by the Hawaii Chapter of the WUB, established in 1993.
